Foresight automation7/14/2023 In case of the WLG4S-3, this is available in the Inox and Hygiene versions as well. For instance, the WL9G-3, WL12G-3, and WLG4S-3 photoelectric sensors feature an integrated IO-Link option even in the standard version. With Smart Sensor solutions, including IO-Link, SICK offers outstanding means for optimizing automation technology in machines and plants. IO-Link makes integrated intelligence usable The GRL18SG and MHL15 product families with their short M18 threaded housings also provide extremely space-saving installation Solutions. If space is too scarce at the place of detection but the evaluation unit needs to be easily accessible nonetheless, WLL180T fiber-optic sensors are well suited. The sensors can be accommodated in the furthermost corner In a relatively clean environment, photoelectric retro-reflective sensors such as the WL8G, WL11G-2, and the WLG190T provide sufficiently large functional reserves for prolonged, maintenance-free continuous operation. This CTA feature (CTA = continuous threshold adaption) is made possible by using special ASIC technologies from SICK. In a harsh, dirty environment, these photoelectric sensors stand the test with integrated switching threshold adjustment. ![]() Instances of poor eyesight compensated automatically They stand out due to their perfectly seal-tight stainless steel housing and their washdown and hygiene design, respectively, implemented consistently throughout. The WLG4S Inox and the WLG4S Hygiene are intended for use in wet areas of the food and pharmaceutical industries. The sensors of the WL9G-3 product family in the glass-fiber reinforced VISTAL® plastic housing and the WL12G-3 product family in the sturdy zinc die casting feature extreme mechanical ruggedness and resistance vis-à-vis a large variety of cleaning and disinfecting agents. Sensors from SICK meet the highest requirements in terms of ruggedness and resistance to media The optimized optical performance of SICKs sensors opens up a broad spectrum of applications that enables reliable detection of nearly every type of transparent object: from thin film and the PET bottle all the way to transparent packaging. Depending on the requirement focus, different sensor solutions suggest themselves. In each case, the application and its secondary conditions specify which sensor solution delivers the optimum detection results. The sensors from SICK are designed in a way that they cope with the most diverse applications in a changing industrial environment - making possible future-proof solutions. Many paths, one goal: the right choice of sensor When detecting transparent objects, use of this portfolio allows solving varied tasks reliably and efficiently. It excels due to outstanding optical performance, intelligence in terms of evaluation technology, and automation-related flexibility. ![]() In order that these objects are detected reliably, SICK has developed a special sensor portfolio for factory automation. ![]() Transparent plastic packaging, bottles made of glass or PET, ampoules, pipettes, flat, tubular, and hollow glass, films for securing loads on pallets: In many manufacturing processes, automators must cope with transparent objects.

2014 chevrolet equinox7/13/2023 ![]() There’s enough on-centre steering mush present here to give a Lotus engineer a stroke.īrake feel is positive, but a firm press of the left pedal still caused me to feel like I was bringing too many thousands of pounds to a halt. The Equinox, you see, is not a Mazda CX-5. By dynamic competence we aren’t referring to track-worthiness, but to real-world, on-road expertise: the ability to ignore a road’s imperfections, the skills with which it makes a commute tolerable, its lack of sporting ambition. For consumers who are downsizing from, say, a Chevrolet Traverse, the Equinox naturally results in a decrease in size but not dynamic competence, à la the downsizing from an Impala to the Cruze. Like the Cruze, the Equinox applies the aura of a bigger machine in its smaller package. ![]() Though a bit disappointing given the number of kilometres we drove on the highway, it’s not that surprising when the extreme cold and heavy load is taken into account. This all-wheel-drive four-cylinder Equinox’s odometer displayed fewer than 9000 kilometres and consumed fuel at a rate of 11 litres per 100 kilometres, equal to 21 mpg, just enough to beat its EPA city rating. ![]() Yes, I sometimes found myself wishing for the terrific V6 option, but not often, and I didn’t miss its accompanying fuel bill. In Eco mode, you’ll either accept the electronic constraints or push through the drivetrain’s resistance, thereby defeating the purpose of the Eco mode. Undoubtedly, this 2.4L, four-cylinder Equinox isn’t spectacularly motivated, but the 6-speed automatic transmission makes the most of the engine’s output to provide the driver with the sensation of sufficient power. The cabin isn’t infiltrated by the wind and road noise you’ll encounter in many small crossovers. Our findings? Reminiscent of the Chevrolet Cruze which GoodCarBadCar has twice reviewed – in gas and in diesel form – the Equinox has a strong air of maturity about it. To understand why, we loaded up this 2014 Chevrolet Equinox LT AWD with our three-member family and our newly rescued dog and headed for Prince Edward Island in the dead of night and in the dead of winter. Even as it ages, even as fresh competition arrives, more North American consumers purchase or lease a Chevrolet Equinox every year.
